Music for Planet Earth

The Heliconian Music Section annually pays tribute to our Planet Earth, with a varied program dedicated heart and soul to turning the tide on the health of our environment.
Doors 2:00 PM | Show 2:30 PM | Includes Intermission
Tickets: $30 public, $25 members. Children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult.
The program will include:
- Three Songs of Innocence by Arnold Cooke for soprano, clarinet and piano
- the world premiere of Hope, a piano trio by Kye Marshall
- a new song cycle Light and Shadow by Jana Skarecky, whose performers will be mezzo-soprano Chelsea Cushman and pianist Dora Krizmanic. It is a setting of five poems by Kate Marshall Flaherty inspired by Jana Skarecky photographs of Icelandic landscapes
- a performance of Kye Marshall's piece for mezzo soprano (Chelsea Cushman) and string quartet, Nature is what we see
- Germaine Tailleferre's Les Fleurs de France
