Black Swan / White Swan: Dance Artists in Dialogue about DEI, A Panel Moderated by Deirdre Kelly- Tuesday April 14, 7:00pm-8:30pm
Join us on the evening on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 for a panel discussion featuring four celebrated dancers:
Jordana Daumec – joined the National Ballet of Canada as an apprentice in 2003 and was promoted to first soloist in 2015; Jordana retired from the NBOC in 2024
Svea Eklof – currently Principal Coach with Ballet Jörgen, Svea retired after an illustrious career as Principal Dancer with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet
Linda Maybarduk – former first soloist with the National Ballet of Canada and author of The Dancer Who Flew, a memoir of her friend Rudolph Nureyev
Anisa Tejpar – Dora Mavor Moore award winning artist, Associate Producer andCreative Assistant with Coté Danse and instructor at TMU
The panel will be moderated by Writer-in-Residence Deirdre Kelly, former dance critic for The Globe and Mail and author of Ballerina: Sex, Scandal, and Suffering Behind the Symbol of Perfection.
