Humanities member Sue Ince will introduce us to the joys of summer in a French village. Vicariously enjoy village life and discover the bastides Albigeois and the beautiful corner of La France profonde that has been recently dubbed the Occitan Tuscany. Sue’s farmhouse is in the small hamlet of Laval in the commune of Puycelci in South West France. The house has been in her family for over 50 years and four generations of the family have spent summers there. Sue is a keen amateur photographer with pictures of the ancient hill towns and castles that date back to the 12th and 13th centuries, medieval festivals, village fetes, vibrant markets, pastoral landscapes and forest hiking paths.
