Mystic Land, a solo show by Vivian East, runs May 2nd-May 29th.
“Mystic Land” is a collection of paintings that illustrate the power of nature to transform consciousness. The mystical places in these paintings exist in a time and space that are far beyond our current human existence. But they also speak to us of our deep connection to the land. I am compelled to paint images that show our existence in nature. Even though the only human in the landscape is the viewer, the connection is there.
