ABSTRACTION Art Show & Sale

Exhibition runs from February 26 to April  02, 2026

In fine art, the process of abstraction refers to the creation of art with little or no intent to produce a realistic representation or tell a story. Colour, line, form, and gestural marks are key elements in abstract art, of which there are many styles. Hilma af Klint, a Swedish female artist and mystic, produced the first major abstract works in Western art history, several years before the works of Kandinsky, Malevich and Mondrian, who are typically credited as being the founders of abstract art.

Come see new works by Canadian women painters, all inspired by the abstract art movement!
