Visual Arts Exhibit: The Colour of Light ~ works by Vivian East, Henrietta Walmark & Barbara Muir

Exhibition runs from April 2 to April 29, 2026

Barbara Muir, one of the exhibiting artists, provides the original conception of this creative collaboration:

“A wonderful thing about being a member of the Visual Arts section of the Heliconian Club is becoming friends with inspiring artists. I met Henrietta Walmark, an exceptional photographer, at a Heliconian opening. Then I followed her on Instagram and was blown away by her work – the beauty she sees and captures, and of course the colours and light in every photo are truly remarkable“In a joking conversation we talked about having a show together, and then let it go. So, imagine my surprise when weeks later Henrietta DM’d me saying “Let’s do it.” Thinking it over we decided it would be a good idea to have one more artist join us, and so we asked Vivian East, whose oil paintings exude the mystery of the natural world.

“The three of us share a desire to put a positive world view out there in a highly disturbing time by channeling joy, beauty and mystery. AND, all three of us like a playful view of exciting colour in art. I am so delighted to have this opportunity to show my work with two incredible friends.”
